Messages from our graduates

I am from Spain and last winter I went to Whistler, Canada to improve my English and snowboarding. In my second week there I found an English school which looked very interesting! I tried a class and decided that I liked it so much, that I stayed and enrolled in classes for the whole of the winter, but the best was yet to come. The school director is very nice and hospitable and throws great school events and parties! I remember my first days at the school when I could not speak any English or had ever studied it before. After a couple of months I realised that there were many people that were unable to speak English in Whistler and my English had improved! Whistler is a paradise of snow and I want to go back!! Regards to my teacher Daniel, Kelly and a special thank you to Setsuko the school director.

Hi Setsuko!! Say good bye to you and tell you that I enjoy a lot and had so much fun in your school and parties. I will leave full of good memories. Thanks for all.

Hi Setsuko!!! Thank you for everything. It has been a major experience of my life. It was a pleasure to be a student of the school. I hope that you will remember me. Thank you.

One of the good points of this school is that teachers and the director are friendly. You can always feel at home. Because the classes have only a small number of students, the teacher listens to each of us individually. Director helped me to get the CASI level 1. She also fixed me up with a job and I’ve really enjoyed working here in Whistler, though I still have difficulty with English sometimes. It’s been good knowing many people from different countries through this school and my job. I’ve had a good time with the TRIBAL SKI TEAM members. I would like to express my appreciation for this school!

Kana Kato: Japanese, Female, 3 months from Feb 2005, ESL Part-Time

What a lovely school this is! I was only here for a month but I really enjoyed taking the class. Even though I was at class I felt at home. The teacher, Daniel, is like my brother. I alway bring and ask questons. Daniel is GOOOOD and takes good care of students individually. About discussion, we all like talking about skiing, snowboarding, weather and snowcondition, so the talk is spontaneous. I like it. Everyday it was different. I screwd up my snowboard season this year. It sucked but I had a good time here. I wish I could stay more and there was a school like Advantage E/J in my town. I’m looking forward to coming back here someday. Finally I want to thank all of this school’s staff and students. I really enjoyed it a lot. I hope you all will have a good time.

It's time to leave Whistler. it is so sentimental. I took photos all the day today because I don't want to forget the feeling of this moment. The path we walked to school, the mountain we snowboarding, the views on the road. It's a wonderful place to live. Everyone has a balance life here. Work, exercise, family...those are important. I am tired about the life I had. I wish I could have more days to stay. It's so glad to meet you guys in Whistler and school. I learned a lot in the Advantage E/J English School, Whistler. Teacher Patricia Dagg is very nice, patience and experienced. She is the Best English teacher I have met. Everyone in class is motivates and extrovert, we had an unforgettable time. Thank you guys for take care of us these months. Keep in touch and please visit us if you come to Taiwan.

I graduated from school on the 27th.Thanks for my classmates and roommates.I lived in Whistler for about 1 year. When I came in Whistler, I was worried about living in Whistler because I couldn’t speak English at all. But my English skills improved a lot while I was at the Advantage E/J English School. Then I have had a lot of experience in this year. Freestyle skiing, skateboarding, etc. Also I made many wonderful friends in school.Japanese, Taiwanese, Mexican, Korean and Argentinian. I want to go to their country to meet them. Teacher Patricia Dagg, she is the best English teacher I’ve ever met. I think my English skills have improved because she taught me kindly. Setsuko and Kyoko took care of me a lot. So I could live there so comfortable. I appreciate everyone. If you guys come to Hokkaido, please message me.

I finished three months lesson in the Advantage English E/J school. My Whistler journey liked a sweet dream. And this was my dreams came true. I learned that I were able to be alone well in a new place and met new persons. Even I always need time to accustom change. But I know I will be better and better. Keep going. Thanks Patricia Dagg!
